Hyderabad: Telangana recorded 230 new Covid-19 cases and one death on Sunday even when the number of active cases in the country reached 5,545.
The total number of cases from the beginning of last year’s pandemic, stood at 6,59,543 and the death toll was at 3,884.
The number of active detention zones in this country stand in 16.
Jagiyal, Karimnagar and Nalgonda have the majority of active detention zones in the state.
A total of 357 patients were declared recovered on Sunday, taking a total count of patients recovered to 6.50.114.
The case fatality rate (CFR) stands at 0.58 percent while the recovery rate reaches 98.57 percent now.
So far 79.8 percent of the overall cases in the country have asymptomatic while 20.2 percent have symptomatic.
On Sunday, 50,636 samples were tested for novel Coronavirus.
Telangana has now completed the sample testing of 2.49 Crore and has reached 6.70 lakh testing sample per million populations.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) recorded 72 cases on Sunday, while Medchal Malkajirgiri adjacent to 17 cases, Ranga Reddy recorded 15 and Sanga Reddy recorded 3 cases.
Outside the city of Hyderabad and its edges, Karimnagar with 11 new cases recorded the highest number of cases.
