Telangana reported 257 new Covid cases, one death

Hyderabad: Telangana recorded 257 new Covid-19 cases and 1 death on Sunday even when the number of active cases in the country reached 5,912.
The total number of cases since the beginning of last year’s pandemic, stood at 6.57,376 and the death toll was at 3,870.
The number of active detention zones in this country stand in 16.
Jagiyal, Karimnagar and Nalgonda have the majority of active detention zones in the state.
As many as 409 patients were declared recovered on Sunday, taking a total of patients recovered to 6.47,594.
The case fatality rate (CFR) stands at 0.58 percent while the recovery rate reaches 98.51 percent now.
So far 79.9 percent of the overall cases in the state have asymptomatic while 20.1 percent have symptomatic.
On Sunday, 58,335 samples were tested for Coronavirus novels.
Telangana has now completed a sample testing of 2.44 Crore and has reached 6.57 lakh testing sample per million populations.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) recorded 87 cases on Sunday, while Medchal Malkajirgiri adjacent to 9 cases, Ranga Reddy recorded 18 and Sanga Reddy recorded 7 cases.
Outside the city of Hyderabad and its edges, KHAMMAM with 18 and Karimnagar with 16 new cases recorded the highest number of cases.
