Telangana reported 298 new Covid-19 cases, 2 deaths

Hyderabad: Telangana recorded 298 new Covid-19 cases and 2 deaths on Tuesday even when the number of active cases in the country reached 5,476.
The total count of cases from the start of the pandemic last year, stood at 6.60.142 and the death toll was 3,888.
The number of active detention zones in this country stand in 16.
Jagiyal, Karimnagar and Nalgonda have the majority of active detention zones in the state.
325 patients were declared recovered on Tuesday, taking the total number of patients recovered to 6.50.778.
The case fatality rate (CFR) is at 0.58 percent while the recovery rate reaches 98.58 percent now.
So far 79.8 percent of the overall cases in the country have asymptomatic while 20.2 percent have symptomatic.
On Tuesday, 68,097 samples were tested for novel Coronavirus.
Telangana has now completed a sample testing of 2.51 crore and has reached 6.74 lakh testing sample per million populations.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) recorded 89 cases on Tuesday, while Medchal Malkajgiri adjacent to 21 cases, Ranga Reddy recorded 14 and Sanga Reddy recorded 5 cases.
Outside the city of Hyderabad and its edges, Karimnagar with 24 new cases recorded the highest number of cases.
