Hyderabad: Telangana recorded 301 new Covid-19 cases and 2 deaths on Monday even when the number of active cases in the country reached 5.505.
The total count of cases from the beginning of the pandemic last year, stood at 6.59,844 and the death toll was at 3,886.
The number of active detention zones in this country stand in 16.
Jagiyal, Karimnagar and Nalgonda have the majority of active detention zones in the state.
339 patients were declared recovered on Monday, taking the total number of patients recovered to 6.50.453.
The case fatality rate (CFR) stands at 0.58 percent while the recovery rate reaches 98.57 percent now.
So far 79.8 percent of the overall cases in the country have asymptomatic while 20.2 percent have symptomatic.
On Monday, 67,720 samples were tested for novel coronavirus.
Telangana has now completed a sample test of 2.50 crores and has reached 6.72 lakh sample tests per million populations.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) recorded 70 cases on Monday, while Medchal Malkajgiri nearby recorded 12 cases, Ranga Reddy recorded 16 reddy cases.
Outside the city of Hyderabad and its edges, Karimnagar with 31 new cases recorded the highest number of cases.
