Hyderabad: Breaking all previous records from a small number of Covid-19 cases during the third wave, Telangana recorded 3,557 new cases on Wednesday.
Six districts recorded more than 100 cases.
Single-Day High previously recorded on Tuesday when 2,983 people had tested positive.
The number of active cases reached 24,253 on Wednesday.
New cases, 1,474 recorded at Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), 321 in Medchal Malkajgiri and 275 in Ranga Reddy together accounted for more than 92 percent of cases.
Also, 3 deaths were recorded and the overall recovery rate reached 96.06 percent continuing the journey down.
With this, the total number of Covid-19 cases since the beginning of the pandemic reached 7.18,196, while the dead had reached 4,065.
Taking counting 1,773 cases restored on Wednesday, the total number of recovered patients currently stand at 6.89,878.
The case fatality rate (CFR) stands at 0.57 percent.
On Wednesday, a total of 1,11,178 samples were tested.
Telangana has now completed sample testing of 3.09 crore and has reached 8.30 lakh testing sample per million populations.
Apart from Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) and its surroundings, districts who saw more cases including Nizamabad who saw 58 cases, Karimnagar saw 74 cases, Mancerial who saw 77 cases, Khammam who saw 104 cases that saw 123 cases and Hanamkonda See 130 new cases on Wednesday.
