Hyderabad: Telangana recorded 364 new Covid-19 cases and 2 deaths on Saturday even when the number of active cases in the country reached 6.608.
The total count of cases since the beginning of last year’s pandemic, stood at 6,54,758 and the death toll was at 3,856.
The number of active detention zones in the country was established in 19.
Jagiyal, Karimnagar and Nalgonda have the majority of active detention zones in the state.
A total of 482 patients were declared recovered on Saturday, taking the total number of patients recovered to 6.44,294.
The case fatality rate (CFR) stands at 0.58 percent while the recovery rate reaches 98.40 percent now.
So far 79.9 percent of the total cases in this country have been asymptomatic while 20.1 percent have symptomatic.
On Saturday, 75,289 samples were tested for novel Coronavirus.
Telangana has now completed the testing of 2.38 crore samples and has reached 6.41 lakh testing sample per million populations.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) recorded 76 cases on Saturday, while Medchal Malkajirgiri nearby recorded 20 cases, Ranga Reddy recorded 21 and Sanga Reddy recorded 5 cases.
Outside the city of Hyderabad and its edges, Karimnagar recorded the highest number of cases with 44 new cases recorded on Sunday while Narayanpet and Warangal urban saw more cases.
