Hyderabad: Telangana recorded 453 new Covid-19 cases and 3 deaths on Monday even when the number of active cases in the country reached 8,242.
The total count of cases from the start of the pandemic last year, stood at 6.49,859 and the death toll was 3,842.

Jagiyal, Karimnagar and Nalgonda have the majority of active detention zones in the state.
A total of 614 patients were declared recovered on Monday, taking the total number of patients recovered to 6.37,789.
The case fatality rate (CFR) is at 0.58 percent while the recovery rate reaches 98.14 percent now.
So far 79.9 percent of the total cases in this country have been asymptomatic while 20.1 percent have symptomatic.

Telangana has now completed a sample testing of 2.29 Crore and has reached 6.15 lakh testing the sample per million population.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) recorded 68 cases on Monday, while Medchal Malkajiriri neighbor recorded 25 cases, Ranga Reddy recorded 20 and Sanga Reddy recorded 5 cases.
Outside the city of Hyderabad and its edges, Karimnagar recorded the highest number of cases with 43 new cases recorded on Sunday while Jangaon, Peddapalli, Yadadri Bhongir, Warangal Urban and Khammam saw more cases.
