Hyderabad: Telangana recorded 465 new Covid-19 cases and 4 deaths on Sunday, went below the 500 sign for the first time since the second wave peaked.
The number of active cases in this country reaches 10,316.
The total number of cases since the beginning of last year’s pandemic, stood at 6.31,683 and the death toll was at 3,729.
The number of active detention zones in the country are reduced to 32.
There are currently no active micro detention zones in Hyderabad while Mahabubabad with 9 and Bhadadri Kothagudem with 7 micro detention zones have the majority of active detention zones in the state.
869 patients were declared recovered on Sunday, taking the total number of patients recovered to 6.17,638.
The case fatality rate (CFR) is at 0.59 percent while the recovery rate has increased to 97.77 percent now.
So far 79.8 percent of the overall cases in the country have asymptomatic while 20.2 percent have symptomatic.
On Sunday, 65,607 samples were tested, falling from more than 1 lakh tested every day.
Telangana has now completed the testing of 1.97 crore samples and has reached 5.30 lakh testing sample per million populations.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) recorded 70 new cases on Sunday, while Medchal Malkajgiri nearby recorded 20 cases, Reddy Ranga recording 23 and Sanga Reddy recorded 7 cases.
