Telangana reported 482 COVID-19 cases, 1 death

Hyderabad: Even because there are no new cases from the Omicron variant recorded in Telangana on Monday, the number of Covid-19 cases recorded a large leap with cases up from 274 on Sunday to 482 in 24 hours.
Also the number breaks the 400 mark for the first time in the past two months.
The total tally of Omicron is currently standing at 84, while Omicron recovered patients are 37 so far.
23 samples were collected from RT-PCR passengers at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) Shamshabad was sent for genome sequencing and a total of 53 samples were waiting for a report.
A total of 423 passengers landed at the airport on Sundays and 13,278 have landed so far this month.
Apart from the 482 new Covid-19 cases, 1 death was recorded on Monday.
The total number of active cases in the country is currently 4,048.
The total number of cases from the beginning of the pandemic last year, stood at 6.82,971 and the death toll was at 4,031.
A total of 212 Covid-19 patients were declared recovered on Monday, the total count of patients recovered to 6,74,892.
The case fatality rate (CFR) is at 0.59 percent while the recovery rate reaches 98.81 percent now.
On Monday, 38,361 samples were tested for Coronavirus novels.
Telangana has now completed a testing of 2.97 crore samples and has reached 8 lakh testing sample per million populations.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) recorded 294 new cases on Monday while Medchal Malkajirgiri adjacent to 48 cases, Ranga Reddy recorded 5 new cases.
Outside the city of Hyderabad and its edges, Mahabubabad with 18 new cases recorded the highest number of cases outside the GHMC limit.
