Hyderabad: Telangana recorded 494 new Covid-19 cases and 3 deaths on Tuesday even when the number of active cases in the country reached 8,112.
The total number of cases from the start of the pandemic last year, stood at 6.50,353 and the death toll was at 3,831.
The number of active detention zones in the country established at 25.
Jagiyal, Karimnagar and Nalgonda have the majority of active detention zones in the state.
A total of 621 patients were declared recovered on Tuesday, taking the total number of patients recovered to 6,38,410.
The case fatality rate (CFR) is at 0.58 percent while the recovery rate reaches 98.16 percent now.
So far 79.9 percent of the overall cases in the state have asymptomatic while 20.1 percent have symptomatic.
On Tuesday, 89,037 samples were tested for novel Coronavirus.
Telangana has now completed a sample testing of 2.29 Crore and has reached 6.17 lakh testing sample per million populations.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) recorded 80 cases on Tuesday, while Medchal Malkajirgiri adjacent to 26 cases, Ranga Reddy recorded 23 and Sanga Reddy recorded 5 cases.
Outside the city of Hyderabad and its edges, Karimnagar recorded the highest number of cases with 51 new cases recorded on Sunday while Jangaon, Peddapalli, Yadadri Bhongir, Warangal Urban and Khammam saw more cases.
