Hyderabad: Telangana recorded 582 new Covid-19 cases and 3 deaths on Thursday even when the number of active cases in the country reached 8,744.
The total number of cases from the beginning of last year’s pandemic, stood at 6.47.811 and the death toll was 3,817.
The number of active detention zones in the country amounted to 29.
Apart from two detention zones in Hyderabad, Jagiyal, and Karimnagar have the majority of active detention zones in the state.
A total of 638 patients were declared recovered on Thursday, taking a total of patients to be restored to 6,35,250.
Case Fatality Rate (CFR) stands at 0.58 percent while the recovery rate reaches 98.06 percent now.
So far 79.8 percent of the overall cases in the country have asymptomatic while 20.2 percent have symptomatic.
On Thursday, 1.07,329 samples were tested for novel Coronavirus.
Telangana has now completed a sample testing of 2.25 Crore and has reached 6.05 lakh testing sample per million populations.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) recorded 83 new cases on Thursday, while Medchal Malkajiriri adjacent to 27 cases, Ranga Reddy recorded 23 and Sanga Reddy recorded 9 cases.
Outside the city of Hyderabad and its edges, Karimnagar, Jangaon, Peddapalli, Yadadri Bhongir, Warangal Urban and Khammam see more cases.
