Hyderabad: Telangana recorded 645 new Covid-19 cases and 4 deaths on Tuesday even when the number of active cases in the country reached 9,237.
The total count of cases from the beginning of the pandemic last year, stood at 6.42,436 and the death toll was at 3,791.
The number of active detention zones in this country stands at 36.
Apart from two detention zones in Hyderabad, Mahabubabad, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Jagiyal, Kaimnagar and Bhadadri Kothagudem have the majority of active detention zones in the state.
729 patients were declared recovered on Tuesday, taking the total number of patients recovered to 6.29.408.
The case fatality rate (CFR) is at 0.59 percent while the recovery rate has increased to 97.97 percent now.
So far 79.8 percent of the overall cases in the country have asymptomatic while 20.2 percent have symptomatic.
On Tuesday, 1,23,166 samples were tested for Coronavirus novels.
Telangana has now completed the testing of 2.15 crore samples and has reached 5.79 lakh testing sample per million populations.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) recorded 72 new cases on Tuesday, while Medchal Malkajgiri nearby recorded 31 cases, Ranga Reddy recorded 27 and Sanga Reddy recorded 5 cases.
Outside the city of Hyderabad and its edges, Jagiyal, Khamman, Mancheriyal, Suryapet and Nalgonda see more cases.
