Hyderabad: Telangana recorded 647 new Covid-19 cases and 2 deaths on Saturday even when the number of active cases in the country reached 9,625.
The total number of cases from the start of the pandemic last year, stood at 6.40,659 and the death toll was at 3,780.
The number of active detention zones in the country stood at 41.
Apart from two detention zones in Hyderabad, Mahabubabad, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Jagiyal, Kaimnagar and Bhadadri Kothagudem have the majority of active detention zones in the state.
749 patients were declared recovered on Saturday, taking a total count of patients recovered to 6.27.254.
The case fatality rate (CFR) stood at 0.59 percent while the recovery rate has increased to 97.90 percent now.
So far 79.8 percent of the overall cases in the country have asymptomatic while 20.2 percent have symptomatic.
On Saturday, 1,20,213 samples were tested for novel coronavirus.
Telangana has now completed the testing of 2.12 crore samples and has reached 5.7 lakh testing sample per million populations.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) recorded 81 new cases on Saturday, while Medchal Malkajgiri adjacent recorded 31 cases, Ranga Reddy recorded 26 and Sanga Reddy recorded 5 cases.
Outside the city of Hyderabad and its edges, Jagiyal, Khamman, Mancheriyal, Suryapet and Nalgonda see more cases.
