Hyderabad: Telangana recorded 648 new Covid-19 cases and 3 deaths on Thursday even when the number of active cases in the country reached 9,857.
The total count of cases from the beginning of the pandemic last year, stood at 6.39,369 and the death toll was 3,774.
The number of active detention zones in this country stands at 40.
Apart from two new detention zones in Hyderabad, Mahabubabad, Jayashankar Bhupalpally and Bhadadri Kothagudem have the majority of active detention zones in the state.
A total of 696 patients were declared recovered on Thursday, taking the total number of patients recovered to 6.25,738.
The case fatality rate (CFR) is at 0.59 percent while the recovery rate has increased to 97.86 percent now.
So far 79.8 percent of the overall cases in the country have asymptomatic while 20.2 percent have symptomatic.
On Thursday, 1,14,928 samples were tested for Coronavirus novels.
Telangana has now completed a sample test of 2.09 Crore and has reached 5.63 lakh testing sample per million populations.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) recorded 82 new cases on Thursday, while Medchal Malkajiriri neighbor recorded 35 cases, Ranga Reddy recorded 25 and Sanga Reddy recorded 11 cases.
Outside the city of Hyderabad and its edges, Jagiyal, Khamman, Mancheriyal and Nalgonda saw more cases.
