Hyderabad: Telangana recorded 691 new Covid-19 cases and 5 deaths on Wednesday even when the number of active cases in the country reached 9,908.
The total number of cases from the start of the pandemic last year, stood at 6.38,721 and the Death Toll was 3,771.
The number of active detention zones in this country stands at 40.
Apart from two new detention zones in Hyderabad, Mahabubabad, Jayashankar Bhupalpally and Bhadadri Kothagudem have the majority of active detention zones in the state.
565 patients were declared recovered on Wednesday, taking a total count of patients recovered to 6.25.041.
The case fatality rate (CFR) is at 0.59 percent while the recovery rate has increased to 97.85 percent now.
So far 79.8 percent of the overall cases in the country have asymptomatic while 20.2 percent have symptomatic.
On Wednesday, 1,14,260 samples were tested for novel coronavirus.
Telangana has now completed the testing of 2.08 crore samples and has reached 5.60 lakh sample testing per million populations.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) recorded 85 new cases on Wednesday, while Medchal Malkajgiri adjacent to 30 cases, Ranga Reddy recorded 19 and Sanga Reddy recorded 29 cases.
Outside the city of Hyderabad and its edges, Jagiyal, Khamman, Mancheriyal and Nalgonda saw more cases.
