Hyderabad: Telangana recorded 746 new Covid-19 cases and 5 deaths on Monday even when the number of active cases in the country reached 9,836.
The total count of cases from the start of the pandemic last year, stood at 6.37,373 and the death toll was 3,764.
The number of active detention zones in this country stands at 39.
At present, there are no active micro detention zones in Hyderabad while Mahabubabad, Jayashankar Bhupalpally and Bhadadri Kothagudem has the majority of active detention zones in the state.
A total of 726 patients were declared recovered on Monday, taking the total number of patients recovered to 6.23,773.
The case fatality rate (CFR) is at 0.59 percent while the recovery rate has increased to 97.86 percent now.
So far 79.8 percent of the overall cases in the country have asymptomatic while 20.2 percent have symptomatic.
On Monday, 1,20,165 samples were tested for Coronavirus novels.
Telangana has now completed the testing of 2.06 crore samples and has reached 5.54 lakh testing sample per million populations.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) recorded 71 new cases on Monday, while Medchal Malkajiriri neighbor recorded 32 cases, Ranga Reddy recorded 20 and Sanga Reddy recorded 7 cases.
Outside the city of Hyderabad and its edges, Jagiyal, Khamman, Mancheriyal and Nalgonda saw more cases.
