Hyderabad: Telangana recorded 230 new Covid-19 cases and one death on Sunday even when the number of active cases in the country reached 5,545.
The total number of cases from the start of the pandemic last year stood at 659,543 and the death toll was 3,884.
The number of active detention zones in the country is in 16.
Jagiyal, Karimnagar and Nalgonda have the majority of active detention zones in the state.
A total of 357 patients were declared recovered on Sunday, taking a total count of patients recovered to 6.50.114.
The case fatality rate (CFR) stands at 0.58% while the recovery rate is at 98.57%.
So far, 79.8% of the total cases in the country have asymptomatic while 20.2% have been flexible.
On Sunday, 50,636 samples were tested for novel Coronavirus.
Telangana has now completed the sample testing of 2.49 Crore and has reached 6.70 lakh testing sample per million populations.
GHMC recorded 72 cases on Sunday, while Medchal Malkajirgiri adjacent to 17 cases, Rangareddy recorded 15 and the series recorded three cases.
Outside the city of Hyderabad and its edges, Karimnagar with 11 new cases recorded the highest number of cases.
