Hyderabad: Telangana recorded 231 new Covid-19 cases and two deaths on Sunday even when the number of active cases in the country reached 6,384.
The total number of cases from the start of the pandemic last year stood at 6,54,989 and the death toll was at 3,858.
The number of active detention zones in the country is in 19.
Jagiyal, Karimnagar and Nalgonda have the majority of active detention zones in the state.
453 patients were declared recovered on Sunday, taking the total number of patients recovered to 6.44,747.
The case fatality rate (CFR) stands at 0.58% while the recovery rate is at 98.43% now.
So far, 79.8% of the total cases in the country have asymptomatic while 20.2% have been flexible.
On Sunday, 46,987 samples were tested for Coronavirus.
Telangana has now completed the sample testing of 2.39 Crore and has reached 6.43 lakh testing the sample per million populations.
GHMC recorded 66 cases on Sunday, while Medchal Malkajiriri neighbor recorded 9 cases, Rangeddy recorded 19 and Sangeddy recorded two cases.
