Hyderabad: The owner of more than 100 budget schools has died, mostly due to heart and heart attacks, during a pandemic in the state, according to Telangana the school management association recognized (TRSMA).
In the country, around 200 school owners died during a pandemic.
Trsma and the National Independent School Alliance (NISA) will protest on September 5, Teacher’s Day, to highlight their problems.
The TrSMA representative said the number of death owners of school owners was much higher in Telangana compared to other states.
Speaking at a press conference organized by TrSMA and Nisa after an increase in the number of suicides by education because of financial problems, President TrSMA Y Shekhar Rao said: “We have contributions from 2019-20 and most management has debt when they borrow the school.” TRSMA members said that the Prime Minister and Minister of Finance had to come to save them by ensuring they got a loan Rs 10 to Rs 20 Lakh.
They also asked the state to release property taxes and vehicles for the pandemic period and pay Ex Gratia Rs 10 Lakh for the family of the budget school owner who died during a pandemic.
“Educators fight in Covid-19 and conquer it, but fail to fight private financiers.
Can not pay interest on loans, school owners commit suicide,” said President Nisa Kulbhushan Sharma.
