Telangana is also between the top three states in this country in terms of omicron variants.
However, the authorities maintain the results of more than 1,100 tests conducted for secondary contact Omicron variants tested by people in Paramount and Tolichowki colonies under the wraps.
The test results have not been revealed even though the sample was taken four days ago.
Meanwhile, private hospitals have improved their guards after detection of a doctor tested positive for the Omicron variant.
There are only a few hospitals that provide medical tourism services and not all have a separate lounge and environment for foreign patients.
As a precautionary measure, a private hospital has stopped accepting foreigners who do not have a negative Covid-19 certificate, according to the source.
When the first case of Omicron was found, a dozen staff members at a private hospital were asked to remain in house isolation.
On the other hand, the largest nodal covid-19 center in the state, Gandhi Hospital, has started the sequencing of the sample genome.
