Hyderabad: Even 50% of students studying in technical colleges throughout the country attended the physical class on Tuesday.
Some colleges have also decided to continue in online mode for now because many of their staff and students come down with Covid-19 symptoms.
The faculty working in this college said that many students missed the class on Tuesday and they hoped the presence would take in the coming days.
“Less than 50% of students learn in courses such as BTECH, Pharmacy, MTech, MBA, among other courses have attended classes today,” said V Balakrishna Reddy, President, Institutes Carning Association (TPIEA-TS).
“Our college has decided to continue the online class for this week because many are down with Covid-19,” said Keerthana B, a BTECH student.
The situation is more or less the same as a junior college and with very few students attending the physical class on Tuesday.
“Nearly 20-25% of students have attended physical classes today.
It may be necessary for at least four to five days for the percentage of attendance to increase because many have not returned from their village,” said G Satish, President, Telangana Management Association of Junior Colleges.
