Hyderabad: The Heroes of the War in 1971 were proped by the Nalgonda as the ‘Fire Victory’ War on behalf of the Indian Navy after the heroes arrived at Nalgonda on Thursday.
The fire victory was accepted at the Visiting Sainik Bhavan in Panagal Road, Nalgonda by Colonel P Ramesh Kumar, Director, the Department of Sainik Welfare, Telangana, and additional district collectors Rahul Sharma.
Captain VSC Rao, who accompanied the fire victory, said it began in Port Blair and passed Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Nalgonda and Hyderabad and would rise to Delhi.
He said they received an extraordinary response from residents during the trip.
The fire victory was accepted as a ‘Vande Mataram’ slogan, ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ and ‘Mera Bharat Mahan’ rented air.
It was escorted to Venue, Chinna Venkat Reddy Function Hall, with police bands, NCC cadets, former servicemen and local residents Nalgonda participated in it and waved a national flag.
Col Ramesh Kumar said, “It is a great honor to accept the victory of the API and arranged the event in Nalgonda to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the 1971 war,” he said.
