Telangana: The forum directs it to the company to restore RS 1 lakh

Hyderabad: The District Consumer Forum here has directed IT companies to return RS 1 Lakh and pay another RS 1 Lakh as compensation to consumers for failing to develop and submit websites.
D Naveen Nischal, the complainant, was submitted that he approached Sri Sai’s IT solutions at Kukatpally for their services in creating multi-user e-commerce sites featuring agricultural product descriptions in English, Telugu and other local languages.
Nischal said that he signed an agreement with the company on May 21, 2019 and paid Rs 40,000 as a down payment.
On August 3, 2019, he said that he paid total Rs 1 lakh from Rs 1,26,900, which was a total consideration.
He said that even after the hose for months, the company failed to develop an e-commerce website as promised.
He said that he did several requests, but the company continued to avoid problems with reason or others.
Nischal said that he even received legal notices issued to companies that asked them to return the money.
Departing without other alternatives, a complainant approaches a forum that is looking for refunds and compensation.
The opposite party, on the other hand, has not yet appeared in front of this commission and established Ex Parte.
From the documentary evidence delivered by the complainant, the forum noticed that even after receiving RS 1 Lakh, the opposite party failed to provide the maintenance of the server application software to the complainant as promised.
“The opposite party does not respond even after receiving legal and call notifications, this shows their negligence to provide services to the complainants.
This clearly shows the shortcomings in service and is true that it causes more mental suffering for complainants,” said the forum.
Regardless of refund and compensation, RS 5,000 is given as a complaint fee.
