Hyderabad: After finding more than 200 villas Illegally raised in the village of Mallampet under Dundigal Municipality, the City Administration Department has now decided to examine all building permits in 74 new cities in the state.
The city commissioner has been asked to examine large construction permits, especially apartments and gated communities, provided by the ESTWHILE Gram Panchayats which is now part of a new city.
Commissioner of the Administration of the City of N Satyanarayana on Thursday directed the city commissioner to provide a report before December 25.
Official sources said that several hundred grams of Panchayats joined to create a new city in 2018 with the intention to develop the area.
While Gram Panchayats has the power to provide licenses to land and two floors, many sanctions plans for five floors and gated communities, especially in the suburbs and HMDA jurisdictions.
Officials suspect that Secretary Panchayat, Sarpanches, and Commissioner of several new cities colluded with builders.
In some cases, fake permits are found for new construction with a long time when the area is under the gram of panthayats.
“The city commissioner must detect unauthorized construction in their respective regions that begin without permission and start strict actions against them.
The Commissioner must collect information and maintain a registers of the building permits given during Panchayat and also take over all registers with plans and support Approved from them, “Satyanarayana said.
Apart from the building, the city government also decided to focus on illegal layouts and year permits, owners, pedestal areas and other details.
