Telangana to vaccinate over 5L into 8L migrant workers

HYDERABAD: The state government is likely to vaccinate more than five to eight lakh migrant employees in the nation for Covid-19.
The labor division said it will launch a private portal site with the intention.
Sources said that researchers from the unorganised industry couldn’t avail the vaccine because of absence of companies’ advice and lack of vaccines.
Shortly after the next Covid-19 tide, officials discovered that over 40 percent migrants return to their hometowns for vaccination.
“Migrants from town and people working in different districts can enroll on the new portal which will be found in a day or two, to receive the vaccine dose.
Officials in the labor department and companies of these units involved will help them throughout the enrollment,” E Gangadhar, combined commissioner, Telangana labor division, told TOI.
The migrant employees must provide their titles, title of their nation along with Aadhaar details about the portal site.
“The information will help us execute various central and state government strategies for employees and connect them into Telangana State Social Security Board to Unorganised Workers (TSSSBUW),” explained Gangadhar, who’s also an administrative officer in TSSSBUW.
Migrant workers who’ve taken the initial dose of this vaccine within their hometowns can enroll for the next dose on the portal site.
“The vaccine will most probably be free of charge,” explained Gangadhar.
The information of vaccination is going to be related to the health area to cut out a driveway to administer dosages in private hospitals or extra-curricular health care centers in the country.
The labor department official stated a meeting of TSSSBUW is going to be convened shortly where the steps for enrolment of researchers for glaucoma could be discussed.
