Hyderabad: After the High Court found an error with the Telangana police for imprisoning a pregnant woman from Nalgonda with the provisions of the PD Law, Police Nalgonda had clarified that the defendant did not tell them about his pregnancy at the time of detention.
The police said in that, they would submit a report to court.
While hearing the petition that challenged the detention of a pregnant woman, a citizen of Nakrecal Town in Nalgonda under the PD Law, the High Court on Monday said it would not tolerate the implementation of actions in pregnant women.
As per the request of the Department of Home Advisor, the court gave a one-week time to submit a counter.
Police Nalgonda said the defendant was involved in five cases of cheating and collecting crores of rupees from people with the guise of a fake scheme.
“We will submit a counter in the court in detail on July 19,” Nalgonda SP AV Ranganath said.
