Tell me where you are, then we will hear you, SC for Beer Param

New Delhi: “There is no protection, there is no hearing until we know where you are,” The Supreme Court on Thursday told former Police Commissioner Mumbai Param Singh and explained that it would not comfort his request if IPS officers did not reveal their existence.
A few minutes after releasing former Maharashtra Minister and NCP leader Anil Deshmukh for documents relating to the CBI investigation and have expressed concern over the former Mumbai police officer who did not have faith in the system, Judge Sanjay Kisy and Kaul MM Sundresh took the Singh Petition Bir and asked his lawyer to first inform the existence of Singh.
“Where are you in this country or outside? Where are you? We will arrive at the petition.
First, we need to know where you are,” the bench asked the senior advocate puneet, appearing for Singh.
Bali replies that the archiving advisor can answer the court request but the advocate-on-record told the bench that the petition was submitted by the holder of the lawyer for Singh.
The bench then observed that it was the impression that Singh was sitting abroad and will come to India after getting a profitable command from the court.
The bench again showed a lack of trust shown by the top IPS officers in the system and explained that he would not be treated differently.
“You are looking for a protection order; no one knows where you are.
Suppose you are sitting abroad and receiving legal paths through a power of attorney then what happens.
If so then you will come to India if the court rules benefit you, we don’t Know what’s in your mind.
There is no protection, there is no hearing until we know where you are, “Bench said.
The judge court in Bombay on Wednesday declared Singh, “proclaimed the perpetrator” in a case of extortion that enrolled against him and several other police officers in the city.
Singh last attended his office in May this year after that he went on leave.
The State Police told the Bombay High Court last month that his existence was unknown.
The police action had followed its sensational allegations that Dishmukh had requested a collection of Rs 100 Crore as bribes.
Bim agrawal, a real estate developer and business actor, has accused the defendant to squeeze Rs 9 lakh from him for not carrying out attacks on the two bars and restaurants he carried in a partnership, and also forced him to buy two smartphones worth around Rs 2,92 lakh for them.
The incident was said to have occurred between January 2020 and March 2021, which he claims.
Following his complaint, a case was submitted under the IPC 384 and 385 section (both of them related to extortion) and 34 (general intentions) against six were accused.
Singh faced a case of extortion in Thane too.
The IPS officer was discussed from the position of Police Commissioner Mumbai in March 2021 after Waze was arrested in the case of an explosive SUV found near Mukesh Ambesh’s South Mumbai Residence ‘Antilia’ industrialist and mysterious death of the next Mysuch Hiran entrepreneur.
