Mangaluru: A temple in the taluk puture managed by the endowment department ran into the controversy after banning vehicle parking by non-Hinduism in the past weekend.
Commissioner Pattture Assistant decided to serve notifications in the Temple Executive Officer, trying to find out why the parking board was installed in the location of the Temple of Sri Mahalingeshwara, which came under Hindu religious institutions and the Department of Endowment Amal from the state government.

Congress criticized the decision, said people from various religions also offered prayers to Lord Mahingeshwara.
Former Leader of MLA’s Putture and Congress Shakuntala Shetty suggested that the temple be able to start a salary and park system which will also help generate income for administration.
