Temple, relaxed spots closed in the distance to contain the spread of the virus

Coimbatore: The surge in Covid-19 cases has forced City Corporation to close public recreational places such as parks, jogging trails, and recreational points at Waterbodies such as Valankulamp and Skkadam Piyakulam to load viruses.

“Because the park is open on Friday, we think they will open today (Saturday) too.
It’s far from home.” District administration, meanwhile, said the temple would also be closed for worshipers from Saturday.
S S Ssyat District collector said the Covid-19 case was increasing and appealed to the public to strictly follow the Pandemic protocol and avoid large meetings during the Pongal vacation.
“Celebrate the festival with a close and loved one at home.” The police were deployed on the race and other relaxing places in the city to prevent people from gathering there.
