New Delhi: The Ministry of Textile on Monday said ten design resource centers were further established by the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) to help the handloom sector.
These centers are established in Weavers service centers in Kolkata, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kannur, Indore, Nagpur, Meerut, Bhagalpur and Panipat, will facilitate weavers, exporters, manufacturers and designers to access sample repositories / improvised products and development, he said.

Such a design center has been established in Weavers service centers in Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bhubaneshwar, Guwahati, Jaipur and Varanasi.
The ministry said for a certain period of time, the service center of each Weavers had collected a large number of handloom designs and samples.
