Trichy: Anna University Civil Engineering Department, Tiruchirappalli has collected 70 land samples from the site identified for the Terminus of Integrated Bus (IBT) in Panjappur in Trichy City.
The official source said that 70 samples were lifted from various site locations – 115.68 hectares of corporate land located above Trichy-Madurai NH.
“We will calculate the capacity of the safe bearing (SBC) of land on the site identified.
This process will help the Civic body to design the terminus,” Dr.
N Iravarasan, Head of the Ministry of Civil, Anna University, said Trichy to Tii.
The Institute in a week will submit a report back to the Civic Agency to develop a design for the terminus bus proposed at the cost of Rs 460 Crore.
