Chennai: Terminus Bus has been planned near the Temple of Kamakshi Amman in Mangadu on the western outskirts of Chennai.
A piece of land measuring eight hectares has been identified for this purpose.
Hindu religious and charity (HR & CE) Minister P K Sekar Babu and the Rural Minister of Industry T M Anbarasan examined the land on Monday, press releases here.
Sekar Babu said that the eight hectares of land owned by Arulmigu Kamakshi Amman Temple and Sri Vaigunda Perusal Temple in Mangadu.
The steps will be taken to clean the waste which stagnates on the ground to facilitate the construction of the terminus bus, he added.
Speaking to reporters, the minister said that the demand for terminus bus had been raised during the assembly session.
The action will begin to prepare facilities for the interests of residents, he added.
