Terracotta containers with designs found in Keeladi

Madurai: The terracotta container, which has been complicated in the vicinity, has been excavated at the Keeladi Archaeological site in Tamil Nadu.
This container is 77cm in diameter and has a thick two cm rim.
The decoration on the container attracts the attention of archaeologists.
The bands have depression such as thumb shows that are equally divided into small boxes.
One of them has deep lines between the boxes.
Deputy Director of Archaeology and Director of the Sivanantham site said that only with more excavation, they would be able to confirm whether it was part of the ring well or if it was a container used to store grains.
