Srinagar: Unknown terrorists were killed in a meeting with security forces in denied KULGAM in Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday, police said.
Security forces launched Cordon and search operations in the Munand region of the South Kashmir District on Sunday morning after input about the presence of terrorists there, said a police officer.
When the troops conducted a search in the area, the terrorists opened fire on them, he said.
The troops retaliated, after a meeting where a terrorist was killed, the official said.
Active operation and further details are awaited, he added.
