The couple who were killed – Sarpanch Ghulam Rasool Dar from Kulgam’s Redwani Panchayat and his wife and his colleague Jawahira Begum – recently chose to return home from hotel accommodation provided by the safe government in the district, IGP (Kashmir Range) Vijay Kumar.
Personal security officers assigned to the couple were not with them when the attack took place.
“PSO has been placed under a suspension with direct effects,” said IGP Kumar.

Sacrifice of BJP workers in Kashmir will not be in vain,” said BJP President J & K Ravinder Raina.
