Jammu: After getting a district assessment for the applicable security situation and challenges, Director General of Jammu and Kashmir, Dilbag Singh, on Monday directing officers to remain careful and alert because the terrorists use drones to carry out terrorist activities and their efforts must be thwarted , While leading a high-level joint security meeting at the police headquarters, Jammu, to review the security scenario in the Jammu Zone, DGP Singh said officials to ensure high alertness, especially in border and inland areas to examine any infiltration efforts.
Referring to the new drone activity in the Jammu area, DGP Singh said, “Terror clothes constantly tried to use drones for terrorist activities so that they remain vigilant and alert to thwart their evil efforts.” He was also intended to strengthen the police and nightstail in the border area.
After getting the district assessment of the applicable security situation and challenges arise, the DGP directs officers to strengthen and add security grids in their respective fields for the safety and security of the community.
“Actions on terrorists must be continued and all suspicious elements must be stored under the check to thwart their evil design which aims to disturb the normal life of people,” DGP directed.
He also emphasized the importance of maintaining close synergies between J & K police and other security institutions to meet security challenges.
DGP Singh further directed the officers to review their district security plan.
While reviewing the security situation at the DGP highway grid directed the officers to intensify checking Naka on the highway and install a gap with strict security measures so that there was no space given to the enemy of peace.
DGP Singh also emphasizes the strengthening of the city security grid and directs the officers to remain special focus on steps to check narcotics trade.
He added that it was used by initial elements to fund terror groups in Jammu and Kashmir.
