Geneva: The World Health Organization said it would soon test three drugs used for other diseases to see if they could help patients who were sick by Coronavirus.
In a statement on Wednesday, the UN health agency said three drugs would be adopted into the next phase of its sustainable global research to identify potential care for Covid-19.
Drugs are chosen by independent panels based on the possibility that they can prevent death in people who are hospitalized for the Coronavirus.
They include artesunate, malaria drugs, imatinib cancer drugs, and infliximab, are currently used in people with immune system diseases.

Among his findings, the agency determines that rempassivir and hydroxyichloroquine does not help people who are hospitalized with a virus.
