Ludhiana: Former Minister of Punjab and Shiromani Akali Dal (Sad) Patron Parkash Singh Badal on Wednesday was positively tested for Covid-19 and was accepted at Dairand Medical College and Hospital (DMCH).
The 94-year-old veteran politician was taken by covid-related symptoms.
Dr.
Bishav Mohan, who was in a team of doctors who took care of Badal, confirmed that the RT-PCR report was positive and he had mild symptoms such as lightweight fever, itchy throat, cold and coughing.
“Because he is an elderly person with comorbidity, he is in the hospital so his health can be monitored,” said Dr.
Mohan, who was a cardiology professor in DMCH.
Shiromani Akali Dal Leader and Party Candidates from Ludhiana West Maheshinder Singh Grewal said the senior Badal was guarded by a government doctor all the time, but on the DMCH a team of doctors monitored his health.
Medical reports released by DMCH at 4.06 PM, “Parkash Singh Badal was accepted today at Dayanand Medical College on January 19 at 1.30 a.m.

He was stable and was in the current private room.
