Testing times for students as 12th board, entrance exams approach

HYDERABAD: With doubt looming over running course 12 examination and other entrance examinations, it’s testing times for pupils that are awaiting some clarity in the state authorities. Psychologists have discovered that the pandemic has caused a dip in growth large, leading to enormous pressure among pupils.

“The working mechanism of pupils has suffered a great deal because of this pandemic. Before, if there is a scenario that can lead to anxiety, pupils could fulfill their friends at college, go outside and perform with. Now, however, since kids are limited in the home, their working mechanisms was affected seriously,” explained Saakshi Agarwal, counseling psychologist in Nirvaana Counselling Centre, Himayatnagar, including family issues and lack of private space has led to massive anxiety among kids.

Covid-19 deaths and cases in households and its implications has taken a toll on a lot of students’ psychological wellbeing. Many acknowledge that lack of clarity has also influenced their attention on assessments. “Because there’s absolutely not any clarity on the behavior of course 12 examinations, I’m focusing more about the entry examinations which likely would not be called away as admissions to many associations depend on these. But this uncertainty regarding if these examinations will be held will be causing a great deal of stress among students including me,” explained Gogineni Dharneesh, an intermediate student.
