New Delhi: Health and Human Dallas County (DCHHS) on Friday confirmed the monkeypox case in Texas residents.
This was reportedly the first case of a rare disease in the United States since the 2003 outbreak, which affected 47 people.
Patients are currently being isolated in hospitals in Dallas, and in stable conditions.
“We have worked with CDC and DSHS and have conducted interviews with patients and close contacts exposed,” said Director of Dchhs Philip Huang in a statement.
