WARANGAL: The story of 364 Weaver’s family who returned from a letter in Gujarat was one of the empowerment.
After the establishment of the country of Telangana, many weavers returned to their home countries after the initiative for weavers announced by the newly elected government.
These families founded Kakatiya Weavers Cooperative Society and urged the government to distribute land to form a power loom.
After a long wait, which lasts more than five years, the Kakatiya Weavers cooperative community has 364 Loom Power units spread across 60 hectares in the village of Madikonda Urban Regency Warangal.
Power Loom Textile Park provides jobs in around 5,000 people directly and 4,000 indirectly, in the unit.
Of the 364 Weavers, 160 began to work.
Weaver made saree batukamma in 40 units of looms.
The remaining units are usually used to work in the private sector.
According to the President of the Weavers Association Durga Seamy, the state government has ordered 12.50,000 meters from the Batukamma Sarees, which must be delivered on October 202.
All units of looms have shared jobs for this order evenly, and produces 1000 meters every day.
“After finishing and the final examination, we will immediately submit a saree to the government,” said the President of the Association.
D Ravinder, who returned from the letter, expressed his happiness because of getting frequent orders.
Speaking to Toi, he said that he likes to work in his homeland: “We could not meet our family a lot when we stayed in a letter.
However, now, the State Government of Telangana has given me everything.
Now, I am not a worker, but the owner Loom Power Unit.
