Hyderabad: In the alleged Ragging case at Suryapet Medical College, a MBBS student first year from Hyderabad was forced to strip and attacked at Hostel College by his senior.
Based on complaints from students, which is a resident of Mailardevpally in the city, the police registered a case against five students and launched an investigation.
Taking a serious view of the incident, Health Minister T Harish Rao asked the Director of Medical Education (DME) Dr.
K Ramesh Reddy to ask the incident and took appropriate action based on the findings.
“We have ordered cases under various parts of anti.
-Ragging Act and is investigating allegations,” said DSP, Suryapet, S said Mohan Kumar.
He said more students were allegedly involved in Ragging incidents despite cases registered with five students.
The student told the police that he was limited to a room for several hours and the seniors were also suspected of trying to tell his head with a bearded trimmer at the hostel man in the government medical college.

He alleged that he was made to strip and also repeat the details of all his family members.
Students are in Hyderabad with their families from December 15 to January 1 because of holidays.
Because he had to appear for the semester exam, he returned to college on January 1.
The Anti-Ragging College committee led by the principle of CV Sharada also asked complaints.
“After we ensure the fact whether it is a case of ragging or personal problems between students and other students, we will proceed right and take action,” he said.
Although the incident took place on January 1 night, the authorities allegedly did not take immediate action against those responsible even though the father of students informed the police by telephone.
The next morning, students were handed over to parents by the police.
Sharada, however, claimed that there was no hose as an internal anti-ragging committee had begun investigation at 2.
