Hyderabad: The Saving Telangana Education Committee has opposed the state government’s decision to rationalize the school quoting poor registration.
The state government recently issued guidelines for rationalizing teaching staff in all government schools in all districts based on registration during the 2019-20 academic year.
According to the guideline, the surplus teacher will be posted on a notified job by transfer.
That step, which was opposed by the teacher, also drew from the committee, which consisted of leading academics such as Prof G Haragopal, Prof.
K Laxminarayana and Chakradhara Rao.
In the representation submitted to the Ministry of Education, the committee demanded that the government immediately stop the rationalization process.
If the government fails to do so, it is threatened with launching movements throughout the state.
“The survey showed that more than two Lakh students had joined the government school this year.
In this situation, it is a villain that the government is rationalizing according to the Statistics of the District Information System of 2019-20, not 2021-22,” said representation.
The committee is worried that school rationalization will greatly affect Dalit, Adivascist, Bahujans and those who come from the economically weaker society.
“There should be a school in every village.
For this reason, the teacher, students must work with people to motivate them and launch movements to protect schools in the village and city,” he added.
The Committee is worried about school rationalization will greatly affect Dalit Education, Adivasis, Bahujans and those from the economically weaker society.
