Hyderabad: A Pregnant Chence Tribe woman who came to the Government Area Hospital in Nagarketool’s Achocket for delivery was rejected after the doctor found him Covid-19 positive.
As a request to admit it fell on deaf ears, the Nimalla Lalamma family waited outside the gate of the hospital where the woman gave birth to a baby girl on Tuesday.
Health Minister T Harish Rao took a serious view of the incident, following the supervisor of the regional hospital and a doctor was suspended on Wednesday.
Lalamma Banala at Balmoor Mandal came to the hospital for the sending of the third baby on Tuesday morning.
The doctors examined it.
When they found that the Covid-19 test was positive, they referred it to a government hospital in Nageburnool.
However, there was no ambulance set to take it there.
In 40 minutes, Lalamma began complaining of labor pain.
With the help of siblings, Lalamma delivered a baby in an open area near the hospital gate.
When the hospital staff saw this, they got it inside and provided rooms.
Sister Lalamma, Allelu complained that they felt ignored by hospital staff despite the fact that he began to have strong pain.
Meanwhile, Commissioner, Telangana Vidya Vidhana Parishad, has issued orders who suspend the supervisor of the hospital Dr.
Krishna and the duty of the Doctor of Babu Day.
“Clear instructions have been issued for all government hospitals not to deny entering for pregnant women even if they are Covid-19 positive.
The incident is an act of negligence and violations of the rules by the staff concerned,” Commissioner said.
Hospital supervisor of the district head office, Nagarurna, has been asked to carry out detailed investigations and submit reports.
