Hyderabad: On the day of high political drama in Karimnagar, the police beat BJP workers and cut iron grills before bringing the State President BJP Bandi Sanjay into Preventive detention to thwart protests against employee transfers.
BJP has protested the controversial command that demands that the government revoke orders related to zonal systems in providing work.
Sanjay, MP Karimnagar, held DeeseHa’s jatararan in the camp office in the district on Sunday, where party cadres and leaders from all the states have previously protested overnight.
Be aware of what happened, the district police sent a notification to BJP local leaders who informed them not to regulate any political events which quoted government orders in the background of the suppression of omicron in the state.
However, hundreds of BJP activists reached large amounts of Sanjay’s camp office, ignoring the police command.
The police also increased their spread and around 7:30 p.m., amid rigid resistance, the district police began to bring BJP activists to preventive detention.
Some cadre women also tried to fight, but in the end, more than 150 was initially taken by preventive prisoners by police force.
High-pitched slogans were raised against the Chief of Telangana K Chandrasekhar Rao and police when arrest was being made.
Both parties claimed that they were attacked.
The whole drama turned ugly when Sanjay and almost 50 others locked themselves by putting the key to the camp office door to prevent the police from entering his room.
Around 9pm, the police used a gas whitening other than construction equipment to cut the metal door.
All Covid-19 guidelines were rejected by police activists and BJP when they faced each other.
“To implement government guidelines and the central government to avoid the spread of Coronavirus, we must take BJP activists into preventive prisoners.
There is no use of masks or social distance among protesters,” Karimnagar Commissioner of Police V Satyanarayana told TII after 150 activists were detained.
Police carry several vehicles to shift protest activists.
After the police opened the door, a tense situation won with the police found it difficult to take Sanjay, which was surrounded by his cadres, before he shifted into a police vehicle and was taken to the local police station.
The Commissioner then said that since the protesters did not heed the warning, even though the police rise using Mike, they must use the power to avoid the spread of Covid.
“To prevent the police from carrying out their duties, the case will be registered against the protesters in addition to alleged violations of disaster management laws,” Satyanarayana said.
Huzurabad Mla Eatala Rajender condemned the arrest of Sanjay Kumar, saying it was not democratic from the police not to let parliament members protest peacefully.
“TRS will pay a great price for this, it will face employee wrath,” he said.
