T’Gana CM wants a court to complete the row of water Krishna

Hyderabad: Looking for more allocation to Telangana in the waters of Krishna, Chief of Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao urged the UNI Minister Shakti Gajendra Singh Shekhawat to delay the implementation of Gazette’s notification issued by the Krishna and Godavari River Management Board.
Notifications come into force since October 14.
He said Telangana wanted a new court to be appointed to solve the problem of sharing water between Telangana and AP.
Cm said many projects were registered as not approved in the notification of Gazettes and added that they were not new projects, which were taken before the State of Telangana appeared in June 2014.
He said as a result of project tags that were not approved, the state may not be able to get financial support or loans from banks and financial institutions because they are all taken with state government funds.
KCR meets the Union Minister in Delhi on Monday along with an irrigation official team, including the Secretary of the Special Chief of Rajat Kumar, and speaks to the Minister of about 40 minutes about various problems related to the problem of water Krishna and Godavari.
The country reportedly complained that the KRMB did not act on the complaints submitted by the AP.
The latest example is the construction of the iFIgation Irrigation Scheme Rayalaseema (RLIS) by the AP, said CM.
KCr reported told the Union Minister that around 30 old projects were declared not approved by the notification center and was asked to get approval within six months.
He is believed to have said the government is ready to provide detailed project reports (DPRS) on new projects.
He reminded the Union Minister that for his advice during the APEX board meeting held in October 2020, Telangana had attracted a case at the Supreme Court.
He stressed that Telangana must be allocated at least 600 TMCFT in 811 TMCFT in Krishna waters or 50:50 to the countries until the final allocation by the court.
CM reportedly explained that the state government would advance with Hydel power plants on the Krishna River.
Kaleshwaram does not require approval: on the basin Godavari project, KCR said 11 projects were mentioned as not approved in Gazette notification, which was issued on July 15 this year.
But, they were taken before the formation of Telangana and was in 967 TMCFF share from the country.
“From this allocation (967 TMCFT), projects for 758 TMCT have been cleared by the Central Air Commission and the availability of water has been cleaned by the Hydrological Directorate for 148 other TMCFT.
The allocation of 60 TMCFT balances has been saved as a backup for future projects, losses Evaporation, etc., “he said.
“Additional 1 TMCFT Kaleshwaram Project is not a new project.
It has only been taken with state government funds to utilize 240 TMCFT allocations made for KalesHwARAM by CWC and do not require the agreement from the center,” he added.
