Hyderabad: With the main candidate P Kaushik Reddy grabbed by powerful TRS, the new team of Congress led by Reddy Revanth was faced with the challenge of seeking a formidable candidate for the next Bypoll against the constituency of Huzurabad assembly.
The main leaders of the Congress, including Revanth, former Deputy Minister of Damodar Raja Narsimha – who are the election of Huzurabad who are responsible – and senior leaders from Karimnagar Regency meet here on Wednesday for candidates.
The problem for Congress is that many leaders of the second steps also joined TRS or there were charges of local party cadres they did impractically for the ruling party.
After the meeting, the Telangana Congress President, Revanth Reddy explained that nothing would be spared, including him, and that strict disciplinary actions would be taken against those involved in anti-party activities.
However, the Election Strategy Committee did not announce the names of probable candidates for Bypoll.
It was decided that the former Chair of the MP Strategy Committee and Damodar Election King Narasimha will complete the name and announce it.
