T’Gana: ‘Continue physical classes for elementary school students’

Hyderabad: With many countries planning to start physical classes only for middle school students, management and teachers say that it is far more important to continue the physical class for elementary school students because many of them cannot attend virtual classes.
They said that offline classes must be carried out at least two days a week for elementary school students.
“Even according to ICMR, the impact of Covid-19 in children under the age of 10 years is far less when compared to older children and adults.
Why not start physical classes for them too,” V Amarnath, Director, Slate -The school.
“These students cannot concentrate, their confidence is low and communication skills have been influenced,” he said, adding that a child’s holistic development had been overall influenced.
The teacher said that the physical class must be continued for all children in August in a 10-15 day gap and all students must attend offline classes on alternative days.
“Now, almost all teachers are vaccinated.
The same thing is the case with parents.
So the risk of children spreading Covid seems relatively lower.
However, the state must provide sanitation, medical staff, and allocate a sufficient budget to follow the Covid protocol at school .
By following all the norms, the physical class must begin, “said M Ravinder, a government teacher, adding students to face memory and conceptual losses.
Parents agree that it is a matter of urgency to continue the physical class, even though they say that the same thing cannot be done in a hurry.
The government must form a committee and study the impact of the reopening of the school.
They need to communicate with parents, explain what is expected and guarantee the safety of children and their family members
