Hyderabad: Dalit Security Fund has been added to Flagship Dalit Bandhu Initiative, with collectors assigning the task to ensure every household receives money from the funds of distress.
As part of the plan, now the beneficiaries will receive Rs 9.9 lakh instead of RS 10 Lakh to prepare a business unit under Dalit Bandhu.
Rs 10,000 of each individual beneficiary will be stored in the security fund, called Dalita Rakshana Nidhi, with the responsibility of fund management given to collectors.
“These funds will be used when business units do not perform well or when families suffer losses, and they will provide assistance to help them during the crisis period,” Trs Mla Gadari Kishore, who was actively involved in the scheme discussion, was told toi.
It is estimated that around Rs 4,000 Crore will be collected for security funds.
Samitis Bandhu Dalit will be formed at the district level, mandal and village, similar to Rythu Bandhu Samitis, officials said.
The district level Samitis will have 24 members and the village level of Samitis Six, with the same number of men and women to oversee the scheme.
Samitis the mandal level will consist of eight men and seven women.
“These people are members of the Dalit community who are interested in working for community empowerment.
There will be stipulation of personnel, as well as social workers.
The Committee will educate family beneficiaries in various business units and other important things,” said an official.
Apart from Huzurabad, the Dalit Bandhu scheme is currently being applied in Chintakani, Nizamasagar, Charagonda and Tirumalgiri Mandal State.
“The precision guideline of the Dalita Rakhsana Nidhi will also be formulated immediately,” said Thungathurti MLA Kishore.
According to a report, the proposal for the Dalit security fund was inspired by the experience of CM K Chandrasekhar itself.
“A group of friends forms ‘friends’ to help anyone who needs money for family members.
The minister’s chairman has it in mind.
Likewise, this fund will be very useful for Dalit when they face financial difficulties,” explained the source in the position of the senior government.
