Hyderabad: Even when the State Government is busy auctioning land in Kokapet and other regions, the High Court has ordered the status quo in connection with the land of two hectares which is part of the plot that is auctioned by the Corporate Infrastructure of the Telutana State Industry (Tsic) in Khanamet in Rangeddy District.
Justice A Abhishek Reddy said: “Don’t finish the auction bid in connection with this area.” He heard the petition submitted by Sangamala Chakravarthy and three others, who questioned the Industrial Department and Tsic to include a two-hectare plot used as a grave.
They argue that he has several warnings and samadhis from their ancestors.
The judge said the auction conducted in connection with this land would be subject to the results of the writing petition.
“While waiting for a further order, the status quo must be maintained.
The land status must also be not changed,” he said.
Judge further directed officials to oppose the GHMC and the income department as respondents in this case, said they would be able to clarify the land status.
Officials have classified this area in a survey no.
41/14 as plot number 17 for auction purposes.
Profitting Advice J Prabhakar said the land had been used for public purposes.
“The state government prevents people from the nearest place into the area because they want to auction plot through HMDA,” he said.
Prabhakar said: “After an area is intended as a crematorium, it continues to be so and cannot be changed.” State advice for the Industrial Department is looking for time to seetast the court about land status.
Dealing with related petitions by Manne Jyothi and 208 workers from Khanamet, justice P Naveen Rao directed the state government to notify the court about his attitude to Pattas given to them in 2007-08 for the purpose of home sites.
“At least you can accommodate them in your double bedroom housing scheme,” the judge told the government and posted this case for September 9.
